Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs testing and/or participates with other personnel on projects ranging scope and deliverables, research resources, create/updated any documents for clients as well as team/s. Updating documents according to standards, manual/automation testing. Insuring all testing is completed on time with little to no errors. Relay information to leads/programmers/QA members of any issues that arises during testing.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Execute test strategies for regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Create, document, and maintain test cases and relative testing documents based on written and verbal specifications.
  • Track, and report defects to software developers/managers using a defect tracking system
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
  • Some skills to Identify, analyze, and document problems.
  • Providing weekly status reports to Management.
  • Develop test strategies for regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Detail oriented, have written & verbal communication skills, time management and possess client facing skills. 
  • Create, document, and maintain test cases and relative testing documents based on written and verbal specifications.  
  • Knowledge of general operating information technology systems.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and techniques used to assess problems within a computer program/application.
  • Knowledge of general computer architecture (CPU, memory allocation, peripheral devices, I/O, etc.) in order to perform basic computer functions.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) techniques for sorting, searching, and functions of systems/applications.
  • Knowledge of security practices to protect systems from unauthorized user access.
